Ha Ha! New Noah's Ark Age Proved with CARBON DATING

I love this stuff. Reality deniers, also known as Creationists, have for decades been refuting the scientific data about the age of the earth. Since some of the strongest data comes from radiometric data – the radioactive decay of various elements – they long ago "proved" that radiometric dating techniques are all wrong. Useless.

After all, if carbon dating says a frozen mastodon carcass is 20,000 years old, it must be the test that's wrong, since we know the Earth is only 6,000 years old.

That's why I gave a big hoot the other day when I read about the latest claim that Noah's Ark was found.
Yeung said he filmed inside the structure for about an hour. He brought back samples that were later tested in Iran.

They say the wood has been tested and carbon dates to around the time Noah was afloat.
Got that? Carbon dating. The technique that has been resoundingly ridiculed by Creationists suddenly seems to be a precise tool when they want it to confirm their silly find.

What's it gonna be, guys? Either radiometric dating works, and your whole silly bag of creationist views fails, or it doesn't work, and you can't use it to prove your creationist "science." You can't have it both ways.

  2. Problem though, these aren't the same people.

The argument works the other way around as well:
Now "we" scientists have to believe what's written in the bible as well, because otherwise we would have to stop using c14.

The people who do not believe in c14 don't need that proof to belive in the arc.

what a piece of BS this whole artifitial science vs religion pissingcontest is.

Since when does this "argument" work? A pile of old wood does not validate a bronze-age myth.

  5. Anonymous, you are Delirious.

***If*** these incredibly biased evangelical pseudo "scientists", have actually released accurate carbon data (which I’m led believe contradicts previous samples taken from the same site - that suggested a MUCH more recent date), it still doesn't prove that that thing is a boat, or how it got up there or provide the slightest shred of geological evidence of a flood.

To call thing the ARC, in the absence of supporting evidence (other than a dubious date) requires a significant level of FAITH.

So pray tell me again, why should "we" scientists have to accept the bible as the truth??

Here are my top 5 probable explanations for the find:

    1. Evangelical hoax, to perpetuate the delirium of their faith
    2. Cave Dwelling for Mountain Shepherds
    3. A mine
    4. A shrine to the Myth of the Ark
    5. Oh and of course, for arguments sake, the structurally improbable, aircraft carrier sized wooden vessel built by Noah in the bronze age, in a physically impossible effort to save two of every unclean beast and seven of every clean beast, from not just his immediate geographical location, but the entire PLANET, from a global flood, for which there is no corroborating evidence.

  6. Umm.. if Noah's Ark did exist, it definitely would not have any remains.

This is such a discredited article - due to the fact it was found and probably made by a FILMMAKER. Lol. Hilarious.

do you srsly think that planet Earth is ONLY 6000 years old? what makes you think that? do you know scientists ALL AGREE, that earth is about 4.5billion years old?

Umm.. if Noah's Ark did exist, it definitely would not have any remains.

why not? high up in the mountains, the atmosphere provides conditions that something as old as Noah's ark could survive. if you have heard of iceman, he survived for 5400years in ice.

Do you think just because you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed? Oh yea, another one of your God haters used that one long before you.

    2. Actually, scientists do all agree on the Earth's age. You can pretend otherwise if you like, but it doesn't change reality.
