Oh, this is rich: Sarah Palin is coming to Dr. Laura's defense! According to Palin, whom we all admire so much for her towering intellect (not!), is quite sure Dr. Laura is not a racist even though she used the n-word eleven times (here's the transcript) on her broadcast.
Ironically, I agree with Palin (amazing, isn't it). Dr. Laura isn't a racist. She doesn't discriminate against blacks – she seems to hate everyone equally!
And I have to ask: Why did it take the n-word to get Dr. Laura off the air? She's been saying hateful things about gays and lesbians for years, yet no mob came after her about that. Why is the n-word the n-bomb, the only thing that can get a bigot to resign from the airwaves?
I wonder if Sarah Palin realizes that she's not doing Dr. Laura any good by coming to her defense. Dr. Laura's mistake wasn't being racist. It was lacking intellect and kindness.. Just like Sarah Palin. So I guess they're two of a kind.
Maybe they can both get jobs on the Fox Noise Network.

Best Christian Headline Ever: "Sarah Palin's Breasts are Real"

This may be the best Christian headline in history: Sarah Palin's Breasts are Real; Not So With Growing Number of Faithful.
How can you top that! Last week the web was abuzz with rumors that Palin had a boob job, which would have been quite a disaster for her political image.
Most Christians view boob jobs with a wink and a smile. As Dolly Parton said, "Why not?" Dolly was wonderful for her no-nonsense philosophy: if it makes a woman feel better and more self confident, what's wrong with that?
I have got little feet because nothing grows in the shade. But some of Sarah's hard-core supporters (no, not that kind of support!) don't share Dolly Parton's humorous and kind philosophy.

The Tea Party: The Sarah Palin Sycophant Party
Syc.o.phant – a self-seeking, servile flatterer; fawning parasite (From dictionary.com)
I wrote off Sarah Palin the quitter, and decided she wasn't worth writing about ... but that speech at the Tea Party Convention was just too much to resist. What a circus of sycophants!
My favorite line from Palin's speech at the Tea Party convention: When asked what she'd do to improve national security, a key point in her strategic plan was to "pray for divine intervention." Seriously! She actually believes that asking for magical intervention from God should be part of our military and diplomatic strategy. If she is ever elected, we'll need some magic, that's for sure.
If Palin's fate as a non-candidate wasn't sealed before, it is now. The Republican old-boys network was really mad when she quit as governor of Alaska. They've been shunning her ever since as a viable political candidate. That's not to say they don't use her crowd-pleasing power and sexual attractiveness to pull in the votes and further their own agenda. But to the real power behind the Republican machinery, she's just a tool to be used as long as it keeps its shine, then discarded.
So, where does someone like Sarah Palin go? She's drawn, like a moth to a candle, to whoever will adore her, and now it's the Tea Party. They're the people who think in simple platitudes, the ones who dragged the Republican Party so far to the right that they lost the Presidency, the Senate, and the House, all in one vote. The Republican leadership, reeling from this disaster, is trying to get back to a more reasonable centrist platform. These Tea Baggers (didn't they even bother to learn what this means in modern slang?) started feeling ignored, so they're forming their own political party.

That's unforgivable to a mainstream political party. There's nothing worse in an election than having a third-party candidate split the vote. It's political suicide. Palin shot herself in the political head when she quit her job as governor of Alaska, now she's put another bullet through her political heart. She'll never be a Republican presidential candidate.
I guess it all makes sense. Simplistic politics, and a sexy bimbo to head your party. Why didn't I think of that?

Sarah Palin: Pentacostal yet Supports Cruelty to Animals
I'm a pretty aloof, intellectual guy when I write these blogs, but tonight I was nearly in tears watching a horrifying video of Arctic wolves, writhing in agony after being shot in the gut from by a hunter in a helicopter. This horrifying cruelty is not only condoned by Sarah Palin, she worked hard to exploit and expand a loophole in the Federal Airborne Hunting Act so that more of this barbaric, inhumane, and immoral hunting could take place in Alaska.
Warning: This is not for the feint of heart. This video is real footage of wolves being hunted, shot, and dying a slow, agonizing, bloody and horrifying death. All civilized humans should be shocked by this practice. It doesn't take religion to see that this is inexcusable barbarism.
Take a look at your family dog. Go into the kitchen, grab a twelve-inch butcher knife, and stab your dog through the gut. Now get some really loud frightening machine and chase your family pet with it, out the door and down the street, away from his home and family, leaving a trail of blood. Watch it writhe in pain, as its guts are torn apart, fear and confusion in its eyes, until it finally, mercifully, dies from blood loss.
This is not some sick creation from a horror film. This is reality, people. This is what our Pentacostal candidate, Sarah Palin, stands for. Your dog is no different than the thousands upon thousands of wolves and bears that are shot for sport, with Sarah Palin's blessing and help, every year.
Humans are the most humane carnivores on the planet. Although our livestock industry is often criticized for overcrowded and unsanitary conditions, we do one thing right: We kill our animals instantly. Most prey animals suffer an agonizing death in the teeth and claws of their captors. Have you ever stepped on a nail? Gotten a twelve-inch slice with a razor? Had your skull crushed? Your neck broken? That's what carnivores do. By contrast, most livestock raised by humans is killed with little or no pain. Their tiny "souls" are just snuffed out in an instant, before the pain signals can even reach their brains.
There was a time when humans were just another carnivore, albeit one made more efficient by tools and weapons. But as we became civilized, the need to inflict tortuous pain on an animal so that we could eat became a thing of the past. We learned how to raise domestic animals, and how to slaughter them humanely, quickly and painlessly. We also made moral and ethical advances, and recognized that unnecessary suffering by our livestock was wrong. We have laws that are for the most part enforced, to that ensure humane killing methods are followed; when occasionally a slaughterhouse is found violating these laws, and making the animals suffer, there is widespread, justified outrage.

Yet, we still put up with hunting, and helicopter hunting is among the most brutal forms. A hunter on the ground can get a clear shot and a "clean" death, meaning the animal only suffers pain and agony for a short time. A helicopter hunter, in a moving platform, blasts away until he inflicts an agonizing, crippling injury on the animal, then the pilot chases the animal until its collapses from exhaustion, at which point the helicopter lands, and the hunter finally puts and end to the torture by shooting the animal at point-blank range.
It's disgusting. Why does it take an Atheist to point this out?
